Dr. Christopher S. Bernier has had an impressive career in education. Dr. Bernier has more than 30 years of experience in education. He spent most of his career in the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) in Florida, where he worked his way up from a classroom teacher to an Associate Superintendent.
Dr. Bernier led Lee County schools, which is the 9th largest school district in Florida, for nearly two years. During his tenure, he made significant contributions to the educational system. His commitment to education and his track record make him a valuable asset to the Florida school system.
His expertise and leadership qualities positioned him as a top choice for the Duval County superintendent position. Recently, he was appointed as the superintendent of Duval County Schools, the 6th largest district in the state. The Duval County School Board unanimously selected him for this role. His appointment reflects their confidence in his ability to navigate Florida’s complex education system.
