The Carpenter's Shop Center is a faith based organization providing programs and services that empower and educate under-served children, youth and families so they can lead responsible, productive live.
Over 120 students receive youth-guided academic, social and cultural opportunities that promote learning and self-esteem necessary for life-long success, Monday-Friday throughout Duval County Public School year. 
The T.E.A. Center (Teen Expressive Arts) goes from 7th grade to 12th grade. This program is teen centered, the curricula is student driven and open during weekend hours. The T.E.A. Center's curriculum is designed to stimulate not just artistic accomplishments, but to improve grade-point averages, educational aspirations, and confidence about career goals.

Communities In Schools of Jacksonville has kept students on track for graduation for over 30 years. Since 1990, Communities In Schools of Jacksonville has helped more than 110,000 individual students.
We serve students in Duval County Public Schools every day by utilizing the power of positive adult role models and surrounding them with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Our programs impact struggling students through case management, literacy tutoring and after-school programs. We work together with school administration, teachers, parents and neighborhood partners – other nonprofits, local government, businesses, and civic organizations – to keep students successfully in school. Our goal is to help students become successful adults who are able to contribute positively to our Duval County community.

Our 10,000 square foot facility connects Music, Drama, Dance, Creative Writing, and Theatre to young people and adults with the desire of awakening their imaginations. We have access to five dance studios, a recording studio, film production space and convertible classrooms. Our campus also has a Performance Hall (Our Black Box Theatre) that seats an eighty member audience for various types of productions. Students will also have access to spacious outdoor comforts with shaded seating around our campus.

Teen Leaders of America (TLA) was established in 2004 to provide college and career outreach to youth regardless of income or ethnic background. In 2007, U-Turns, Inc. was established to target minorities and disadvantaged youth in middle and high school that desire (1) acceptance to a four-year university and (2) leadership training that is essential for entering and surviving college but is not provided via the normal school curriculum. The goal was to help eliminate the disparities in higher education due to economic status and background, by providing youth programs at little to no cost to low-income families.
