Summer camp programs provide academic and enrichment activities for at-risk children during the summer months. It strives to reduce summer learning loss and helps to prepare children for the next school year. Summer camps generally include a wide variety of services, to include tennis, dance and arts camps. Children who live in Duval County and are 5 years old by September 1st through rising 9th graders (or up to 15 years of age), are eligible for services. Children must qualify as low-income or special needs.
Children participating in the free/reduced lunch program (those with documented special needs, or recipients of the McKay Scholarship or Children First Florida Scholarship) are eligible for seats at selected camps.
Registration for all camps is conducted by each individual camp location. Parents/caregivers interested in enrolling their children in camp this summer should contact the camps directly to learn more about how and when to register.
